Familiarisation
Familiarisation trips can be organised so you can get to know the area before
you decide where you would like to buy. This will establish your ideal location
and will offer a feel for the area. A guided tour will offer an insight into
the type of properties, price, local transport network and facilities so you
can make informed decisions about the move. This can either be accompanied
or independent.
Research
We will then contact the local agents, check the local press and search the
internet. This can be a time consuming process and you need to keep up to
date so you do not miss any new properties on the market. By staying in touch
with the agents and building a good relationship we can ensure we have access
to the best information. This could mean that properties may not even go on
the market. Private owners or property developers may even contact us who
wish to avoid the estate agents fees. This means you may see property you
would not normally know about. We can register you with the relevant agents
and information can start being sent to you straight away.
Viewing
Following your appraisal we can view the agreed short list for you. Taking
digital photographs will also highlight aspects of the property that the estate
agent schedules do not show and offer a better all round view. From this further
information you can discount any that are not suitable before you travel to
view. This means on a viewing trip you can focus on the more relevant properties
and save time having already discounted unsuitable property.
Viewing Trips
Viewings can be arranged so you can fit more into a short stay. We can accompany
you during a visit or if you prefer you can travel independently. We can even
pick up from the airport and take you straight to the first viewing or drop
you at your hotel. It is not uncommon for estate agents to operate a block
booking system if the property has a lot of interest and you could be walking
around with a number of other couples at the same time.
Quotations
If there is work required on the property we can gather quotations from local
tradesmen and professionals so you are prepared for any future costs or decide
if you still want to make an offer on a more involved project.
Moving
We can help on the moving day. If required we can meet with removals men or
support in other ways such as collecting keys.
